Who are we

It all began with a simple idea based on a large problem, single use plastics. David Crinnion is the CEO and Founder of Oceans Plastic. He began his research while studying at the University of Oregon and continued it into his Masters at Portland State University. Oceans Plastic is the cultivation of David’s research into finding a truly biodegradable plastic-like material, a material derived from algae and natural raw materials that will break down causing ZERO pollution. David is surrounded by a team of expert advisors and assistants who have extensive knowledge in plastics and their manufacturing. Our goal is to eliminate the fake “compostable” plastics and make the change the world needs.

Oceans Plastic

Oceans Plastic is a materials company. We have not just one, but many different versions of our material, all with the same goal of truly being biodegradable. The materials range from soft and flexible to hard and strong, even being able to further manipulate the materials for specific needs. Our material will first be made into utensils such as containers, forks, knives, spoons, and even straws! We expect our material to start entering the market and available for sale next year. We also expect to have our compostability study done by the end of 2023, so we can show exactly how our material breaks down in an everyday compost pile.
